Folkclub Twente organizes monthly folkconcerts (or open folk stage) at De Roef, Enschede, The Netherlands (near the German border just below the latitude of Amsterdam and Hannover).

Concerts
Concerts start on time, the concert hall will open half an hour in advance and is non-smoking. There is a separate smoking room.
The price ranges are: adult, sponsor and student (below the age of 25). Children under 12y: free admission. Up to 17y and session musicians pay half the entrance fee.
De Roef offers a pleasant venue with a bar and plenty of space (for sessions).

Reservations

Sessions
If you play an instrument, don't forget to bring it with you. Often there is plenty of opportunity for session play after the concert is finished. The sessions usually start with Irish folk tunes but other styles like blues, klezmer, bluegrass, indian, or any other folk style are very welcome too. Maybe you can sing or tell stories. Don't be modest and take your chance. On top of that: session musicians pay only half of the entrance fee.

Mailinglist
Folkclub Twente runs a mailinglist (in Dutch) for the latest news. You can subscribe with your email address. Send a email to listserv@nic.surfnet.nl with the following body text: SUBSCRIBE FOLKCLUB_TWENTE first name surname E.g. (the mail subject is not used):

Sign off with a mail to the same server with body text: SIGNOFF FOLKCLUB_TWENTE

On this list concerts are announced a few days in advance as well as changes to the website/agenda. It is a one-way list (from us to you), low traffic, the memberlist is private and the listserver is maintained by a respectable Dutch academic provider: SURFnet (no spam).

Support Folkclub Twente
The unsubsidized Folkclub Twente foundation is run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers and is financially depending on private sponsors.
As a sponsor you donate EUR 14,= a year. In return you get a discount on entrance fee, our monthly newsletter (in Dutch) and priority at reservations.
You can enter online or at a concert.

Open stages
We organize one or two open stages (Folkpodiums) a year with two or three folkacts on one evening. Folk musicians/bands interested in displaying their talents can register online. Folkclub Twente is interested in all folk styles.
